Giorgio Pochetti

My Story and Literary Career

I was born in Rome in 1957 and began my journey in literature after dedicating years to scientific research at the CNR. My first novel, “His Soul Slept in a Drawer,” was published in 1991, marking the beginning of my writing career.

Since then, I have explored various narrative genres, publishing works like “Angels and Other Stories” in 2006, “Do Not Kill Bob Raphaelson” in 2011, “I dreamed of Haruki” in 2020 and the most recent “The Island of Sleep” in 2023. My scientific background often intertwines with my writing, giving life to stories that blend realism and fantasy.

Acknowledgments and Life Philosophy

My passion for writing led me to win the “Quick Tales Literary Contest” with my story “Wrong Line“. I firmly believe that literature is a means to explore the complexities of the human soul.
This philosophy is reflected in my story “Tea at the Fullertons’“, awarded and published in the “CHORUS anthology of 2011”. Through my books, I invite readers to embark on a journey of introspection and understanding of life’s nuances. In addition to these acknowledgments, I have also had the honor of having one of my short stories selected by a renowned actor, to be read during the show ‘Kataribe’ on Rai2.
